We are a training practice here in Sutton Cross and have a GP Registrar from UCD Training Scheme join our team each July. This is a fully qualified doctor who has spent at least three years or more gaining experience within hospitals in Medicine, Psychiatry Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Medicine and Emergency Medicine. During their year with us, they will bring develop their expertise in General Practice and contribute to the team here.
Medical Students from TCD and UCD, who are not yet fully qualified are sometimes attached to the practice for short periods to give them a flavour of what general practice is.
We also have Nursing and other Healthcare Professionals attached to the practice from time to time for training purposes. They will always be under the direct supervision of one of our doctors. If a patient would prefer NOT to see a registrar or student, their wishes will be respected.
