Dr John Allman
John is from Sutton and has attended this practice since childhood. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1996 and trained in hospital medicine for five years. He trained as a GP in Brighton, UK and became a GP partner in Sussex until his return to Ireland and this practice in 2010.
John enjoys the variety of primary care and the long-term connection with so many people from the same community. He has postgraduate qualifications in dermatology, paediatrics and musculoskeletal medicine. In recent years he has completed further studies in Lifestyle Medicine and Nutrition which allows for more comprehensive and holistic advice in managing patients. John often supervises doctors in the practice as a GP trainer and also is involved with Mentoring and Sustainability in the ICGP (Irish College of General Practitioners).
He is married with three daughters. He enjoys languages and speaks Irish, French and Spanish. In his spare time he likes to run (slowly), ferment foods and sleep!
